Bermuda after Gonzalo blows through

Bermuda’s airport reopened yesterday afternoon as the island began a clear up after being hit by Hurricane Gonzalo on Friday with rain and 110mph winds. Only minor injuries were reported in what was the strongest storm to hit the island in a decade. It was the second storm in a week to hit the island. Gonzalo caused power cuts to 31,200 homes, although two-thirds of people had their electricity restored by Saturday afternoon. Cruise ship calls to the island scheduled for yesterday and today (Monday) have been cancelled as a result of the hurricane.
