Sail With Hot Bands on the Coachella Cruise

Perhaps you've always wanted to go to Coachella, but the idea of spending a weekend in a tent in the desert just didn't appeal to you. Well, good news, luxury lovers: Soon you can enjoy Coachella in the much swankier digs of a cruise ship. The music festival is going to sea, with the SS Coachella launching two trips in December featuring musical acts like Pulp, Girl Talk, Yeasayer, and Sleigh Bells. Expect to shell out at least $500 per person, the Los Angeles Times reports. The short cruises, one to the Bahamas and the other to Jamaica, leave from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and feature more than 20 acts between them. It's the first time promoter Goldenvoice has branded any event other than the annual California festival with the Coachella name, and it suggests Coachella will become more of … [Read more...]

Where should my wife & I vacation in mid-March for 13 days?

We live near San Fransisco, CA. I'm hoping you can recommend a great vacation spot. We like moderate hiking, biking, kayaking. My wife prefers jungle but I love body surfing. We don't like to spend much time in the city when we travel. We've gone to Central America (Mexico 2x, Belize, Costa Rica 2x) and Canada. We were set on Ireland until we realized they're having the coldest, roughest winter on record this year. We'll wait until May for that trip! Where should we go in March? … [Read more...]

We're from Boston and we're trying to get out of the New England region for a week or so... We like to stay pretty busy, so some place with a lot of things to do would be great. Any suggestions would be helpful!! Thanks!!! … [Read more...]

London – Best Restaurants Near the London Eye

The area around the London Eye is a great place for a daytrip if you're staying in London, especially if you're at one of the hotels near Waterloo. As well as the calming pleasure of taking a trip into the skies of London on a huge ferris wheel, there are plenty of other nearby attractions on the South Bank. The National Theatre is a great place to visit even if you're not seeing a play, as it's worth admiring for the architecture, art installations and frequent free events that happen in the court outside. As well as the National, visitors interested in theatre are within easy reach of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, a reconstruction of the original 17th century building which is now used both as a museum and for productions by the RSC. A little way up the road, we also have the Tate Modern, … [Read more...]
