Looking for a great end of the year Vacation Spot, any suggestions?

I want to go on my first real vacation. Meaning not traveling to a wedding or for the holidays but going someplace just to relax and enjoy myself. With that said, I'll probably end up going by myself. I asked a friend to come with me but you never know if someone is serious or going to back out. I'd like to find someplace interesting and beautiful. In or out of the country but I only with have at most $1500 to spend. I thought of the Dominican Republic and Belize. In the states, Alaska and Maine. I don't want to go to Cancun or Daytona Beach or somewhere lame like that where everyone else goes and drinks and clubs it up. I like adventure and serenity and yes, at night I want to get drunk and meet people ;) Please help... Yeah, not staying home. That's the point of a vacation retard. … [Read more...]

These venues can be very exclusive and most are over 21 and are strict on ratios of mixed groups of girls to guys. Right now come of the best clubs in London include Jalouse, Maddox, Aura, Cuckoo, Boujis and Cirque Du Soir. Checking out their websites is often a good tip for getting on the list (see below). Vacation spots in Maine, New Hampshire?

I am looking for a place to go for a one week vacation with my husband and 2 and a half year old girl this summer. We really like the idea of a cottage on a lake but we would also like to have somewhere to go indoors with a toddler if the weather is no good. Last year, it rained almost all week and we were in the middle of nowhere! Any links to a website would be great too. Thanks! … [Read more...]

8 religious wonders to see in the U.S.

People visit Jerusalem for the rich history, interwoven religious narratives and crumbling holy walls. They visit Europe for ornate churches with painted ceilings and golden trim. They visit India for peace of mind, finding serenity in its carved and colorful temples scattered along the sacred Ganges River. But people rarely travel the U.S. in search of such sanctuaries. After all, what religious wisdom could America, a country still in its youth at 236 years old, have to offer? Although the country may not have a reputation for religious landmarks, America is home to more than just secular city halls and strip malls. Whether or not you practice a faith, visiting these beautiful and historic U.S. religious spots may provide inspiration. Bahá'í House of Worship in Wilmette, … [Read more...]
