Where in Colorado is a Great Summer Vacations Spot?

how are these areas: Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon???
or even Boulder.

Are these real good vacation spots??

I’m looking for hiking, lake/river side relaxation, and outdoor activities.

Thanks.

  1. Rocky Mountain National Park is just outside Estes Park ( a little town, not a park), about one hour from Boulder. You can camp in the park or stay in Estes Park in a motel, hotel, or cabin. Rocky Mountain National park has tons of great activities, guided and self-guided hikes, wildlife to see. Go to the Visitor Center just inside the gate to get activity info.

  2. Colorado is full of thrill and excitement. There are a lot of campground which allow for camping, fishing and other outdoor activities. As you are looking out for a lake/river side location according to me Grand Lake village which serves as a gateway for Rocky Mountains would be ideal for you.

I agree that if you like hiking, outdoor activities, and lake/riverside relaxation, then Rocky Mountain National Park would be the place to go. To see descriptions, (along with pictures), of hiking trails in the park that lead to lakes and waterfalls, try this website:

Have fun and happy hiking :-)
