We want to plan a little vacation and we're not sure where to go. We already know about all the main ones (Outerbanks, Virginia Beach, Ocean City, Myrtle Beach, and of course the main beach cities in Florida).. but are there any other really nice beach towns that aren't perhaps as highly visited? What are some great vacation spots in the eastern coast for families?

We are a family of around 7 people and we have 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 8, 10, and 14). We are looking for some vacation spots around Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, that area. They can be some amusement parks, but not Six Flags or anything because we can find that right here in our city. Something that is actually worth going there for. PLEASE INCLUDE 3-4 VACATION SPOTS. Something we are looking forward too, but doesn't have to be, is a Resort with everything in it.
