Camping would be a good choice if you have or can borrow the equipment. There are lots of great places to camp in Califonira….near a beach would be fun this time of year.

Russian River is great, it’s north of San Francisco. My friends an I used to go up there regularly, we’d rent a cabin right on the river. The only money you spend is getting up there, the cabin rental, and food.

If you want to get away and you live in SoCal. Santa Barbara is a great place to go. You can even take the train into town and stay at a bed & breakfast then hit beach during the day.

Kind of an oxymoron (California and cheap)…j/k…you will have your best luck at B&B’s…do a search…the smaller cities on the outskirts of the larger cities offer great deals and are soo much fun.
